The install script, setup , is located in the top-level directory of the CD distribution. Use this script to install any or all of the software packages on the CD-ROM.
Throughout this manual, a monospaced typeface is used to indicate text displayed on your screen. A bold monospaced typeface is used to indicate text you should enter in response to a prompt.
The questions in the setup script have the following format:
Question {option1 / option2 / ...} "default option"
Press Enter at the prompt to select the default option, otherwise enter the desired displayed option. At other times, the setup script prompts you with the following menu format:
At the prompt, type in the number corresponding to the desired option.
On any non-fatal error, the installer provides the option to abort the install:

If you choose to abort, the installer provides the option of removing anything already installed:

During the normal installation process, the install script sets the file ownerships and permissions on all of the files in the software distribution. If you are installing the software onto an NFS-mounted directory, changing file ownership and permissions may not be allowed. If any file permission problems occur during the installation, a warning message is displayed.

You can continue or abort the installation at this point. You may abort the installation, export the destination file system with "root" write permission for the machine on which you are running the install script, and restart the installation procedure.

1. This decryption key is not the same as a DX license key. The decryption key is supplied with your software. A license key, only required for Database Xcessory, is obtained by emailing or calling ICS with information on your host system. In some cases, an evaluation copy might include a temporary key.
